Senator the Hon. Aubyn Hill tours the JACANA production facility in St. Ann

Senator the Hon. @aubyn.hill met with the principals of @jacanalife and toured their production facility in St. Ann, led by Alexanda Chong, CEO & Co-Founder, on April 30, 2024. The Jacana facility, which spans 100 acres, is a USDA organic certified farm that has over 60 different kinds of medicinal plants and herbs. Their facility allows for the full growing process on site from seed to store, including propegation, cultivation, harvesting, drying, curing, trimming, packaging, extraction, and lab testing. In his discussions with the Jacana team, Minister Hill provided updates on the status of the cannabis legislation, currently in the drafting process. The MIIC, in collaboration with the @CLA, is ensuring the proper implementation of processes to promote the prosperity of Jamaica's medicinal cannabis industry.
