لماذا لٌقب بروف عبدالله عبد الكريم بعمدة الأطباء؟

Professor Abdullah Abdulkareem was born in the city of Al-Muglad, West Kordofan, a region known as "Al-Ghurra." Growing up in this simple environment shaped his character and influenced his path toward medicine. From a young age, he felt a deep sense of responsibility, a trait fostered by his family and the influential figures in his community. He pursued his education through various stages, eventually moving from Kordofan to the capital to attend the University of Khartoum. This transition from the rural plains to the city was a transformative experience that solidified his belief that medicine is a mission rather than just a career.  He served as a distinguished academic at the University of Gezira, where he took great pride in his work and his close relationship with his students. Choosing to specialize in Internal Medicine, he became widely recognized for his unique bond with his patients, believing that the human element of medicine is essential. Throughout his journey, he balanced his clinical duties with a powerful commitment to professional activism. His dedication to improving the lives of his peers and fighting for the rights of both doctors and patients earned him the respected title of "The Mayor of Doctors."  Professor Abdullah Abdulkareem also held significant leadership roles, including presiding over the Medical Council in Gezira State. In this capacity, he worked to enhance the training systems for Sudanese doctors and addressed the many challenges within the medical field. Today, he shares his wisdom with the next generation, offering advice on how to maintain humanity under the pressures of the profession. His legacy is defined by a lifetime of service, and he continues to inspire those who follow in his footsteps.
