I have wanted to visit Tintern Abbey for a long time, but it was only in 2021 that the old Tintern Branch railway was reopened as the walking and cycling route, now known as the Wye Valley Greenway. This included the renovation and reopening of the Tidenham Tunnel. After two years of waiting for the right opportunity, I was finally able to make my way to Chepstow, through Tutshill, then the tunnel. As usual - I didn't make it to my final destination. I was exploring the disused railway infrastructure, and lost 'track' of time. Purely by luck though, I ended up finding a lovely undisturbed spot near the River Wye, to set up camp for the night. I got to use my Coffey Spit again, this time for roasting a joint of lamb, and the first use of my new Bushbox XL Stove. It was a little warped by the end of the night, but it held up well (and so it should for the price!). I'll try and make it to Tintern another time.
