The new step and face milling program Type B33 features an extremely quiet and machine-protecting cutting action, by maintaining highest productivity levels and long tool lives. The application areas range from step and face milling, up to full slot milling and contour milling of almost all common materials. The soft and machine-friendly machining process is made possible by a positive rake angle and a positive angle of attack. At the same time, the integrated trailing chamfer creates very good surfaces. The inserts have 4 effective cutting edges and allow a cutting depth ap of up to 12mm. Precision sintered and ground insert types are available. Depending on the area of application, the various inserts can be used for finishing and roughing operations. The program includes step milling cutters made to DIN 8030-A, with standard and close pitch, in the diameter range 63-160 mm, as well as multi-tooth shell milling cutters, with standard pitch in the diameter range 63-80mm. All tools are designed with holes for internal coolant supply.
