The LA Phil's Mozart/DaPonte Trilogy: The Marriage of Figaro

The LA Phil's multi-season Mozart/DaPonte Trilogy is a massive undertaking that features three of Mozart's most famous works, all-star creative teams, world-class singers and, of course, the LA Phil led by Music and Artistic Director Gustavo Dudamel. This season's effort is Mozart's comic farce, "The Marriage of Figaro," and the production has dazzled audiences in its first performances. Building on last season's "Don Giovanni," which featured sets and costumes by Los Angeles-based Frank Gehry and Rodarte, respectively, the second installment has an Paris-based creative team, with installations by architect Jean Nouvel and costumes by couturier Azzedine Alaïa.
