Volvo’s all-electric EC40 (previously C40) Recharge takes the regular XC40 Recharge SUV and puts a unique, eye-catching spin on things. The EC40 Recharge has a more swooping, coupe-like exterior than the XC40 Recharge, and it sits 70mm lower, too, giving it a more sporty, dynamic look. And because there’s an abundance of power - 231 hp - the Volvo EC40 Recharge acts as a great alternative to lease cars like the Tesla Model 3 and the Audi Q4 e-tron. A 78kWh battery supplies power to two motors, which drive both the front and rear wheels. You can enjoy a range of around 274 miles between charges, and the battery can be replenished from 0-80% full in just 28 minutes via 150 kW rapid charging. The EC40 has a 0-62mph time of just 7.4 seconds. With zero emissions at the tailpipe, business lease customers will also reap the rewards of 2% Benefit in Kind (BIK) tax.
