In this product deep dive, the System Admin Insights community explores Candidate.FYI and how it improves the hiring experience for both recruiters and candidates. Chris Connors and Kyle share the thinking behind the platform and walk through how it helps teams streamline interview coordination, communication, and reporting. As host Alex Marcus notes early in the session, “It seems like you guys are really, really focused on a delightful user experience, and that is so important because so often when we see these tools… I’m thinking, okay. This is just a glorified, low token bandwidth chatbot with a wrapper on it. And you guys are so far beyond that.” Chris explains the company’s core focus: “We obsess over the candidate experience.” He adds that when people talk about candidate experience, “there’s so many different areas within it. There is scheduling. There’s coordination. There is getting feedback from candidates. There’s communicating with candidates.” The founders built Candidate.FYI after seeing gaps in existing tools. As Chris puts it, “Tools, mostly ATSs, were just not focusing on these areas. So we said, you know what? Let’s build something that can sit on top of it and really streamline this entire process.” Kyle adds perspective from years of working closely with recruiting teams: “One thing I just noticed over and over again was just how inefficient their process was.” This session highlights how modern recruiting teams can rethink interview scheduling, candidate communication, and reporting with tools designed specifically for the candidate experience. System Admin Insights (SAI) is a private community of highly technical iCIMS system administrators who collaborate to share solutions, evaluate tools, and improve recruiting technology operations.
