Dr Daniel Coit speaks with ecancer at the EADO 2018 congress in Barcelona about the emergence of no-completion lymph node dissection for patients with a positive sentinel node. Dr Coit explains that recently two prospective randomised trials have concluded that nearly all the important clinical end points were similar whether the patient had a completion lymph node dissection or not. He believes the results to be practice changing but that change of practice could be difficult due to the general conservative nature of practices in regards to change.
