Standalone CA This type of CA cannot use the features provided by the enterprise CA. That is: No certificate templates This means that each request must be prepared manually and include all required information to be included in the certificate. Depending on the settings of the certificate template, Enterprise CA may only need key information, the rest can be automatically obtained through CA. Standalone CA will not do so, as it has no source of information. The application must be completed literally. Manual Certificate Request Approval : Because Standalone does not use CA certificate templates, each request must be manually verified by the CA Manager so that the request does not contain dangerous information. No auto enrollment, no important documents : Since Standalone CA does not require an Active Directory, these features have been disabled for such features.
