Contact us at https://offplan.one/ On June 15th this year, Cyprus property prices on many villas will increase by a lot due to the upcoming VAT reform. Every new Offplan property that you purchase in Cyprus comes with additional VAT to pay on the property price. Standard VAT in Cyprus is 19%, however, for first-home buyers the Cyprus government offers to reduce the payable VAT down to just 5% for your primary residence. Previously there was no price limit in relation to this 14% discount and many people bought luxurious mansions with the lowered VAT. However, this created pressure from the EU and so in June 2023 Cyprus announced new size and price limits for the lowered 5% VAT. Since then we are in a transitional phases where some villas are still on the market with the 5% VAT, but in just a few weeks those villas will not be eligible for 5% VAT anymore and their prices (and value) will increase drastically. In this video I'm explaining all everything you need to know regarding this change, I'm giving some real life examples and I'm talking about what you need to know if you are interested in claiming the 14% discount, before it is gone.
