Not really much else to say except I had to go see this thing for myself. I accidentally missed windup on the Panasonic footage but got it on the Vixia thankfully; hence the jump cut after the first couple seconds. I'll get a better video of this thing eventually, but this is good enough for now. Before you tell me that this siren is actually in Amelia, this is technically now Pierce Township (as Amelia voted along with Newtonsville in November 2019 to dissolve their villages into their respective townships) and is part of the township's system according to fire department records. This was probably one of the loudest, if not the loudest, Thunderbolt that I've ever heard. Enjoy the sound of that 5M blower in the background as well as the sound echoing off the cell tower next to the siren. I set up in a field behind the siren to take this video, since I wanted a closer angle to the siren than others who have filmed it have gotten. This is siren site PT-03, located at 3317 Jenny Lind Rd. It was installed in 2009 by Werden Electric as a refurbished unit from Hamilton County’s old system. We believe it came from Pleasant Ridge School in Cincinnati but are not 100% sure on that. Clermont County tests their sirens on the First Wednesday of every month at noon, weather-permitting.
