Two Short French Pieces by Dupre and Boellmann

A short visit to St. Elwyn's - -- (far too cold to linger!!) - - -to share with you Two Short Pieces by French Composers. The first, 'Souvenir' Op.65bis was the last thing Marcel Dupre (1886-1971) wrote , in 1969. He dedicated it to his life long friend Josette Yong. It was to be 25 years before it was published . The second, 'Postlude', is from Leon Boellmann's (1862-1897) 'Heures Mystiques', a large collection in two volumes of pieces suitable for various parts of the Mass. This piece is in fact Verset No. 16 from volume but has the editorial title Postlude in a collection by C. H. Trevor.
