Siren Song 🧜‍♀️ GIANT 48x48 Funnel Pour inspired by Dirty Artist! Acrylic Funnel pour painting on 48x48 gallery wrapped canvas, using Golden's paints: Turquoise, Gold, Anthraquinone Blue, & Payne's Gray Hello Friends! Last week I saw Dirty Artist do a funnel pour and it was amazing to watch! I had never done a pour using a funnel, so I was greatly intrigued! Her results were so beautiful, I decided to give it a try. My colors are: Golden's ~Payne's Gray ~Turquoise ~ Anthraquinone Blue ~ Pearl Mica Flake (small) DecoArt Americana Decor ~ Pearl ~ 24K Gold ~ Emerald Green **THERE IS NO SILICONE ** Basecoat ~Artists Loft White ~Satin Enamels Pure White My pouring medium is: ~Liquitex Gloss Medium & Varnish ~water as needed ~Floetrol I did 5 Funnel pours on this huge canvas.. the paint comes out so fast! It was a very cool experience, I really enjoyed it. the 4th one got a bit messy trying to fill the funnel while holding it, but I figured it out and managed to get the full funnel over to where I wanted it. I want to mention the Pearl Mica Flake..I have used it before on the surface of a wet painting and wanted to see how it would perform in the pour itself, mixing with all my colors. I was very excited to see if that sparkle would be all over the canvas. Unfortunately, it seems to be under the rest of the colors, and that sparkle is not showing through. There are a few small areas that you see a bit of the sparkle but not much. I think the best application for this product is either on the wet surface after you are done tilting, or possibly on top of a dried piece, so it would really show up. I enjoyed playing with the Pearl Mica Flake and will use it more. I love the deep turquoise colors in this piece, it's very calming and relaxing to look at. I had so much fun creating it!!
