In this Ep16 we travel up to Slide Lake via its 4WD "Road" (officially known as Slide Lake Wurtz Ditch on the OnX trail App). On reaching the hiking Trail Head turnaround point for our Jeep, we transition to foot power for the 2.3 mile journey up to Slide Lake. DO NOT miss seeing this beautiful glacier/snow fed lake! After entering the gate to this 4WD trail we did not see even one other off-roader or fishing party THE ENTIRE DAY, so it truly was a solo day of Jeeping. I recommend this video for anyone who wants to see this somewhat difficult-to-get-to alpine lake. It was spectacular! Every year we take our 2004 Bluebird Wanderlodge M380 motorhome on an all-summer excursion to escape the brutal heat of Texas and the Desert Southwest.
