Llangollen in north east Wales is renowned for the surrounding hills and the River Dee. It's a quaint town a few miles from the English border with many interesting places to visit both in the town and the surrounding areas. You can take a stroll along the Victoria Promenade, picnic in the Riverside Park or watch the river tumble down beneath the bridge. For the more energetic there is a whole range of outdoor activities. If you just want to relax, take a train ride on the steam railway or glide along the canal on a horse-drawn boat.
