Talk given by Dr. Deborah Vance on March 15, 2025 A member of the Bahá'í Faith since 1970, Deborah Clark Vance is married with three children and four grandchildren. She earned a Ph.D. from Howard University in Intercultural Communication where her dissertation focused on ways in which individuals of various cultural, racial, ethnic and national backgrounds join together in a group with an overriding identity. She served as Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Communication and Cinema at McDaniel College until retiring from academia. She continues to research, write and publish her work.
