What is the role of NATO in Crisis Management and Disaster Response? How does the Alliance support the international community during times like these with pandemics, disasters, wildfires, etc.? During this webinar event, we will explore the role of NATO and how the Alliance supports international crisis response. Join us on March 11th as we discuss the role of NATO in international crisis and are joined by the NATO Crisis Management and Disaster Response Center of Excellence. Speakers include: Colonel Dimitar Dimitrov: Chief of Education and Training Branch in the Crisis Management and Disaster Response Centre of Excellence Dr. Manlio Silvestri: Retired Brigadier General from the Italian Army and International Advisor to Capacity Building International, Instructor for CMDR Course at the University of California Irvine. Dr. Erik Benson: Academic Director for Capacity Building International and for the NATO Crisis Management and Disaster Response Course at the University of California Irvine. Background: International Models in Emergency Management Series (2021) Throughout 2021, there will be a recurring monthly series of webinars that will highlight, compare, and contrast various European/International/National domestic emergency management models. Delivered in partnership with Capacity Building International (CBI) and The International Emergency Management Society (TIEMS), guests will present their different models, approaches, and systems used in emergency management. This webinar series is an excellent opportunity to hear from experts across the globe. The idea behind the webinar series is fairly simple, a bi-monthly webinar series throughout 2021 focused on the various national platforms in emergency management and disaster response while building a community of interest to share perspectives and experiences.
