Ballintoy is a quaint small town on the Causeway Coastal Route nestled between Ballycastle and the Giant’s Causeway. Only five miles west of Ballycastle with slowly increasing population of about 165 people. Ballintoy has a meaning of “the northern townland” in Irish “Baile an Tuaigh” and this location was used to film the great HBO Game of Thrones TV series. In 2011, this harbor was used as a fictional town of Lordsport in the Isle of Pyke during the 2nd season. The fishing harbor of Ballintoy lays along the coast just one mile from the town.
