Its high time Incredible India should change it's catch phrase "atithi devo bhava' (guest is God to us). A group of French tourists on Sunday were allegedly beaten up and molested in Mirzapur in Uttar Pradesh. The big question that arises why out of all the states it's Uttar Pradesh that has been hitting the headlines. A German national and a Swiss couple were attacked in Sonbhadra and Fatehpur Sikri respectively. The police has claimed that the woman was from Varanasi, and not foreign nationals but that does not justify the molestation. The incident has taken place at Lakhania Dari waterfall in Mirzapur. These incidents are enough to ruin the tourism business in India. Finally, somebody should tell BJP leader Sangeet Som that Taj Mahal is not a blot on Indian culture and heritage but such incidents do certainly ruin the reputation of India. Its high time state chief minister Yogi Adityanath must take an initiative to tame these anti socials in his state.
