I really like posting farms from other regions of the country. Here's a beautiful example from our Northeast, did you like it?? The main house of the Sapucaji sugar mill was built by the heirs of the Viscount of Utinga (Henrique Marques Lins, 1800-1877) in 1862. The architectural complex includes the slave quarters (for housing the slaves inside the main house), a chapel on the upper part of the house on the right side, and was the common area for the family of the sugar mill owner, the family of Marcionilo da Silveira Lins, father of Zenóbio Marques Lins and grandmother of the industrialist and politician from Pernambuco, Luiz Dias Lins. All of these were owners of the aforementioned main house. Colonel Manoel Antônio dos Santos Dias, the first elected Mayor of Escada and maternal grandfather of Dias Lins, died in this mansion in 1905. His mother, Filonila dos Santos Dias, was the aunt of the modernist painter Cicero dos Santos Dias (1907-2003), who was thus Dias Lins' first cousin, who was welcomed in the 1990s for a lunch at the mansion held by his cousins. After the visit, the painter Cicero Dias, in letters addressed to his cousin himself, asked that the imperial palm trees in the mansion complex be well cared for and preserved, along with the manor house, which thus represented part of the history of the ancient clans and sugar mills of Pernambuco. In 1883, this mansion also received a German prince, named Henry of Prussia, who had lunch and spent the afternoon at the mansion, returning that evening to the capital of Pernambuco to return to his home country. This is one of the few examples of old mansions in the Zona da Mata Sul region of Pernambuco that preserve their characteristics from the time of construction and all the furniture, an incredible place that is worth visiting.
