For those who thought it would never be finished... Man, this level is something else. The project that kickstarted my rise in this community, I started this 3 and a half years ago with a vision a little too big for my reputation and abilities, and said "yeah, for my first project, why not host a hacker-themed gimmick level!" With an original lineup of basically nobody relevant, (at the time) it began under tough circumstances. Then, with the help of some friends, it slowly began to turn into something more. One incredibly popular YouTube part from a known creator later and this level was something people couldn't stop asking me about, and I finally had an "in" to this community. It was beyond this, however, that I began to lose track of keeping progress on this level. I told myself that I wouldn't start another project until this was completed, but I lied. I then made a few more, all the while letting this one slowly die and fade away. To be honest, beyond the merge issues, creator issues and overall lack of interest, the main reason this project suffered was because I felt an insurmountable amount of pressure to release the level completed with visuals. RebotXD, a very talented creator, made one visual part for xVoid that was too good to ignore, and i felt as if i had to upgrade the rest of the parts too beyond this. The level then kind of turned into rabbit multiplication, where any new idea blossomed into many more that would result in even more being proposed and executed. I also was urged by a few people close to me to not release the "layout" until it all was finished, as the hype for the level would die down, so I ended up releasing nothing, even with a finished 3+ minute layout. The years went by, and the never-ending cycle of improvement led to the eventual demise of the progress of the level, with people slowly forgetting about it as the time went on. Aside from the occasional message and ping of "when hacker man??", whenever asked about the level, I'd always say progress was being made, but this wasn't entirely true. Over the years, I made various attempts to revive the level, but they weren't all entirely fruitful. It wasn't until I received motivation from Kay via a new merge of the level that I was finally motivated to finish this thing, once and for all. The truth is, the level you're watching now isn't one of my creation. Its a huge project that took an incredible amount of effort from a lot of different kinds of creators and people to pull together. Its the people who may know each other, or people who may have never talked at all, that are the reason that this level is finished, and while it is not perfect, I hope that its something not just I can be proud of. I'd like to thank some people involved in the process of this level, as their dedication helped produce the final product you see today. -Blueskii: for recording, motivating and helping me become the creator I am today, thanks a lot for your efforts and for always being a good friend. -xVoid: for actually joining the project and somehow becoming friends with me through its conception, thanks for motivating me and inspiring me, as well as connecting me with a ton of cool people. (And for housing me for a week!!!) -Lykoz: for assisting me with the hosting process of this level, it truly would not have been the same without your help and guidance. As I write this description, I am headed off to college for the next few years, and there is a lot of uncertainty ahead in my life. I do know, however that this game and community have given me a lot of life experience and amazing friendships I will treasure for years to come.
