Dutch Royal Military service member and father, Lesley, led a busy life as a load master on helicopters and as a dad of three. Then one day, he discovered a lump. At first, he didn’t think it was significant—but later he was diagnosed with follicular lymphoma. He underwent several treatments including chemotherapy and a stem cell transplant. However, his cancer continued to spread. Lesley then decided to pursue CAR T-cell therapy with the support of his doctor and his family. “I recommenced my life and my job again. As time goes by, I cope with it better and better. I’ll never be completely free from worry.
