Update on the building project of the British School of Amsterdam

The British School of Amsterdam is in the process of realizing a new school building. A former prison institution is now being redeveloped into a healthy learning environment. Redesigning a listed monument into a contemporay school environment requires respect for the authentic character of the building and the urban context. At the same time it meets contemporary standards for ventilation, daylight, acoustics, climate and safety. The redevelopment has been designed by atelier PRO together with Van Hoogevest architects and Buro Sant en Co landscape architecture. Atelier PRO also created the interior design.
