Welcome to my writing channel. As I'm approaching revising the last act of my novel, I've been doing a lot of reflection as to why I'm writing this story in the first place--this story out of all the thousands of ideas floating around in my head. Finding my "why" has led me to want to slow down, go back a number of chapters, and really try and sink into the world and enjoy my time with the characters. I tried to romanticize my writing routine by letting go of the restrictions I place on myself when trying to write a book and taking my time to set up my writing location before a session.
