It may surprise you, but in my opinion, the most expensive headset may not be the best headset! Watch for my personal, super biased (based on my preference, not affiliation with any company or interest in headsets), real world opinion on these headsets and in general. I also mention and compare to the Clarity Aloft headset which I do not own but tried at Oshkosh. To sum it up, the best headset is best for the purpose. Being the most expensive or the most quiet headset is not always the best for the purpose. Being a student pilot, renter, or long distance cross country flier can have a different preference than the casual pilot owner flier.
