In each season I will select an organ and will talk about most common conditions that affect that part. I will talk about why that condition happens, diagnosis, investigations, complications, treatment and outcome of that disease. Phimosis is a common condition in new born boys and infants. It tends to settle by the time a boy reaches the age of 6 or 7. In this video I have tried to explain this condition and have discussed the things that can be done to prevent this condition and how it can be treated. This condition only affects males who are not circumcised. Hence it does not happen in certain cultures and religions where circumcision is done at a very early age. This condition should not be confused with Paraphomosis which although related to the foreskin but is not the same as Phimosis. Phomosis can be treated electively whereas Paraphimosis is always a medical emergency.
