TENSION IN BULAPESA: BAKASA ABDI WAKO FAMILY ALLEGES PLOT TO GRAB THEIR LAND IN ISIOLO

The Bakasa Abdi Waqo family has come forward to express their concerns over what they claim is a plot to seize their land located in the Mabatini area within Bulapesa Ward, Isiolo County. Speaking to journalists, led by Musilima Abdi Waqo, they claimed that they inherited the land from their late father, Abdi Waqo. They also stated that a preliminary investigation confirmed that they are indeed the rightful owners of the land. Ali Halkano, a member of the family, said that the landlord is using his money to intimidate them, pointing fingers at them over the land. Meanwhile, Abdikadir Mohamed added that it’s not just their land at stake, but the landlord has also been eyeing other plots in the area. The family stated that they have documents proving their ownership and have already reported the dispute to security agencies, including the local land office, but they remain dissatisfied with how the matter has been handled. As a result, they have requested that the Isiolo County government, under Governor Abdi Guyo, and the Isiolo Land Office intervene in the matter.
