I know this topic has been talked about in the past, but I wanted to throw my two cents in on the matter. Are Air Tools a thing of the past now that so many incredible cordless tool options are available? What Air Tools are even still used if any and why do mechanics even still use them? There are many things to factor in when considering Air Tools for purchase over cordless. Now I know that there are a lot of incredible options out there to choose from in the cordless line up. Consider this... Your batteries loose there juice and you can't leave work to warranty or purchase New ones. Your Cordless tool fails. Won't work and is outside of it's warranty. The RPM is greater air then any cordless. Some Air tools have better breakaway torque. Air tools typically last longer then most cordless tools. You can go years without using them or oiling them and they just keep working. You can often pick them up for really cheap on ebay because everyone is switching over to cordless. More money saved in my book. Last but not least They have a better drop rate. If you drop your air tool it will take the beating over the same drop of your cordless because the air tool is made out of mostly metal and your cordless is typically made out of plastic. Prove me wrong. Thanks for your feedback. Hit the thumbs up if you like the video and share if you want to share. Be sure to subscribe for more tool discussions such as this one. Cheers and have a great weekend.
