Yep, I was one of the pandemic skaters. I still remember the first pair of skates I bought. They were a 90 dollar pair from a sports store, and I bought them just so I can have something to do recreationally. At the time, I was indoors.I wanted to be outdoors and I wanted to dosomething that made my body feel good. Ever since I put the skates on, I instantly fell in love. I felt like a kid again and that joy was something I've always wanted to continue to lean into. Right now, you see me skating on this beautiful blacktop located on the coast of California in Newport Beach. This is where I actually began to learn how to roller skate, as I continued to make new friends in this growing community of roller skaters,I learned about the different types of roller skating. There was park skating and derby skating and street skating, which are all great in their own ways, but one that stuck out to me was Dance Skating. If you're unfamiliar with dance skating, It's exactly what it sounds like. Roller skating and dance simultaneously. As I mentioned previously, I've only been skating for a year. Prior to wearing my first pair skates, I had not a single clue how to dance. I was so uncoordinated, so clumsy and just rigid and awkward in general. But as I begin to practice daily, I have learned that my body can do things that I didn't even know I can do. As I began to get comfortable with the foundations of skating, I thought it was time for an upgrade. So I went to my local skate shop and was given a few options for skates. I was looking for a skate that would help me level up, but I still wasn't sure if I was ready to invest in a skate that was out of my price range. After hearing a lot of positive reviews from Moxi brand skates, I was stuck between two options. The jackboot and the Lolly boot. And if you're a fan of Moxi, I feel like that is a question that you have asked yourself one time or another. Everything that I'm doing in this video is done using the Moxi Lolly skates and I'm happy to tell you that they are a perfect intermediate skate. At the time, I was looking for a skate that was high quality, was durable and was comfortable. Considering I would be on skates for two to three hours a day, the Lolly Boot checks all of these boxes off and it actually packs quite a punch. When learning a lot of dance skating, there's quite a few things going on when it comes to footwork. So that is understanding balance distribution, being comfortable on your toes, and with every type of skating, it comes with falling too. So when it comes to the Moxi Lolly's, I recommend themto anybody who is considering an intermediate boot and isn't quite ready to upgrade to something on the higher end but also a skater who feels like they understand the foundations enough to own a higher quality boot. I remember when I first put on my Lolly. I instantly felt this overwhelming feeling of satisfaction. There was no break in, period. I instantly put them on and started skating and it already felt like I've owned them for years. The Lolly boot also features a nylon plate at the bottom, which is great if you want to learn floor work because the plate is light and durable. All in all, I feel like the Moxi Lolly boot is a fantastic boot to use for Dance skating ff you're an intermediate skater and you are looking for an upgrade in your skating game. For me, Dance skating is a way to express myself in a way that words can't and the Moxi Lolly helps me express that. I'm proud to say that my skate game has leveled up completely ever since I got the Lolly skates.
