EL MOLAR // Drinking Wine and Eating Meat in Madrid's Caves!

A quick escape to the Madrid hills to visit the Tinta Castiza winery, an exciting new project in the village of El Molar, run by Carlos and Paula initially as a way of recuperating old vines of the area - which is now the latest sub zone of the region. There's also lots of crazy experiments happening... After drinking too quickly we head to the historic cave-quarter, the old wine cellars, now all converted into traditional underground restaurants full of local wine and meat grilled on the hot stones. We head to Bodegón los Olivares, and old favourite of mine with its Lord of the Rings theme.
