Two months since a deadly 7.7 magnitude earthquake shook central #Myanmar, older survivors are still reeling. In communities already worn thin by conflict and poverty, older people are facing homelessness, trauma, and neglect. Their stories reveal what statistics can’t: the emotional toll of loss, the daily struggle for safety, and the strength it takes to keep going. U Tin Win, 76, injured and displaced, now survives on aid. Daw Kyi Kyi Win, 86, lives in an overcrowded shelter with no access to healthcare. Daw Pyone, 62, urgently needs blood transfusions but fears being forgotten. These are not isolated cases. #OlderPeople across Myanmar are being left behind in the emergency response. At @HelpAge, we are amplifying their voices and pushing for urgent, inclusive action. Older people must be protected, included, and seen - not sidelined. See their reality and carry their stories with you.
