The Last Day is a concept that is related to the Seventh Day of Creation, which is also called the Sabbath Rest. When the natural mind thinks of the term ‘Last Day’, immediately the focus becomes the ‘End of the Word’. It becomes connected to destruction and death. However, the Last Day, must be seen in the biblical context of the ages. It refers to the time that now is in contrast to the time that was. Just as Hebrews 1 reveals that in the first, Prophets spoke on God’s behalf, but in the second the Son speaks. This Son, is the New Man of the New Creation, which has entered the Rest, while before Him there was no rest. For this reason, Him entering the Rest, we are exhorted to believe that we may enter this same Rest. This is the Last Day, in which we stand, and we reign. It is about the Creation that was in Work and the Creation that is in Rest. It is about the difference between six days of work, and one day of rest.
