Exploring Dowles Graveyard or St Andrews Church. The church that stood on this site was built in the 1700’s & was eventually demolished in 1956. It was built on top of a Norman Chapel. This place was beautiful & it was a real joy to explore. Susan Wowen - the Bewdley Witch is reputedly buried here in an unmarked grave. There’s also a rare example of a mortsafe. Both my partner & myself have lived in this area all our lives & passed by this place 100’s of times & didn’t even know it was here until a couple of days ago.
