To celebrate 10 years of ‪@whovian_fanbase‬, we bring you the latest recap in our 'The Story of...' videos! 18 Years ago, on 16th April 2005, David Tennant was announced as The Tenth Doctor. Making his first appearance in 'The Parting of the Ways' in 2005 and his final adventure in 'The End of Time' in 2010, this Doctor was a charismatic mixture of apparent opposites… He could show extraordinary kindness and sensitivity, but he himself admitted he was a man who gave no second chances. Waking on Christmas Day in his new form, the Doctor fought the Sycorax high above London, where he lost a hand but grew a new one with remnant regenerative power. By and large the Tenth Doctor was a happy traveller who found wonder in everything from quirky little words to a rampaging werewolf. He roamed time and space with Rose Tyler, Mickey Smith, Martha Jones and Donna Noble and all of them showed him tremendous loyalty. Told that he would die when someone knocked four times, the Doctor remained defiant, but to no avail. Reeling from his confrontation with the Time Lords and fatally dosed with radiation, the Tenth Doctor’s song ended, as his violent regeneration burned the TARDIS and sent it crashing through space….
