Visiting the site of what was Croxley Green station Croxley Green railway station was a railway station in Hertfordshire, England (near Rickmansworth and Watford), but it’s long closed and disused today. 🚆 Croxley Green Railway Station (Closed) • Opened on 15 June 1912 by the London & North Western Railway as a terminus of a short branch line from Watford–Rickmansworth. • It served passengers for much of the 20th century, though services gradually dwindled over the years. • Passenger trains ceased on 22 March 1996, and a replacement bus ran briefly. • The station was officially closed on 29 September 2003, and the track and platform area has since become overgrown with little remaining infrastructure. Today it’s still physically there but unused and largely overgrown, with only fragments of its platform and stairs remaining among vegetation.
