Effective water ingress protection is vital on these products, as moisture is known to degrade their anti-ballistic properties. In addition, water absorption means extra weight, restricting soldier mobility. For these reasons, even a small hole or faulty seal may put lives at risk. The ASC BAIT MAX allows 100 % testing, without water, drying or weighing, providing a clear Pass/Fail result. Operating the machine is simple: The operator scans the barcode, and loads the product into the test chamber. He closes the machine, which starts the cycle automatically. The blinking orange light indicates the cycle is in progress. The barcode is used to read the product information and select the correct test program. Alternatively, this may be done manually with a program selector switch. The measurement time depends on the product, and can be optimised to suit customer requirements. Smaller versions are available for smaller inserts. The ASC BAIT MAX replaces the water immersion test. It provides an automatic and user-friendly way to inspect for leaks. Test results are stored automatically with time and date stamp, allowing full traceability. A test report or conformity label can be printed after the measurement. At the end of the test, a status light indicates the result : Green: the product is In Spec. In case a leak is detected, the Red light comes on, and the machine is locked.
