The 2K67 passenger service running from Blackburn to Head Bolt Lane (Merseyside) was operated by Northern Class 156 and Class 150 Diesel Multiple Units Numbers 156455 and 150118. The 6U33 on track plant service running from Guide Bridge B Side Sidings to Shap Summit was operated by an unknown Network Rail Ballast Stone Blower. The 1B26 passenger service running from Blackpool North to York was operated by Northern Class 195 Diesel Multiple Unit Numbers 195113. The 2N86 passenger running from Colne to Preston was operated by Northern Class 150 Diesel Multiple Unit Number 150126. The 5Z45 empty stock movement running from Castleton Hopwood Ground Frame to Carnforth Steamtown was operated by West Coast Railway’s Heritage Steam Locomotive 45407 ‘The Lancashire Fusilier’ running light engine, it had been cancelled due to an unknown issue and departed the ELR late for it run up to Carnforth Steam town.
