High-Quality Insulation Breathaplasta Thermal has a tested thermal conductivity (k-value) of approximately 0.127 W/mK. This is significantly lower than standard plasters, making it a very effective insulator. In fact, it's claimed to have twice the thermal performance of gypsum and four times that of standard lime plasters. The plaster’s insulating properties come from its formulation, which includes natural, lightweight materials like recycled glass beads and perlite. These materials create a highly porous structure that traps air, thereby reducing heat transfer and keeping your home warmer. 2. Improved U-Value The U-value is a measure of how well a building element (like a wall) insulates; a lower U-value means better insulation. By applying Breathaplasta Thermal, you can significantly improve the U-value of a solid wall.
