The Secret Behind the "3D" Flame of The Mainstays 3D Stove Heater, (Model SHAG-G24F) I took apart the top of my new Heater so you don't have to! This Infrared Quartz heater has a nice realistic flame look to it. On this video I give you an inside look of of how you get a some what realistic look of the flame inside the heater, this video is a teardown of the top portion of the heater, I will be making another video of the teardown of the bottom portion of the heater as well. This is a long video because I like to show all my work on my videos. Feel free to jump to different parts of the video if you are one who does not like watching the entire teardown in action. It has LED lights inside and a long clear plastic tubing that rotates which reflects the light onto a piece plastic shaped as logs and makes it seem as there is a real flame in the heater. enjoy my video and please leave a comment down below. ATTENTION: Do Not Take Your Heater Apart. WARNING: It has came to my attention that the Mainstays 3D Electric Stove with Infrared Quartz Heater (Model SHAG-G24F) with date code 2407 , usually purchased at Walmart, has been linked to several fatal fires investigated by the Texas State Fire Marshals Office. It has been recommended to not use that heater and to return it or get rid of it. The heater on this video has: (date code 2507) and I did buy it at Walmart. I'm still trying to find out if this heater is also on the fire Hazards list, I did test this heater by tipping it over to see if it would shut off, but it did not shut off when I tipped it over. Please let me know if you find anything about this heater also being a fire hazard. On both heaters, the legs are plastic and it has been said that on the model SHG-G24F with code 2407 the plastic legs can melt from the heat which will cause the heater to tip over and start a fire.
