Dr Alban and his cousin, Charles Oputa (aka Charlie Boy) will release an album together, at the end of October. Check what Dr Alban says about the album: "We recorded this album with Charly Boy. It's a 15-tracker and we're shooting four videos. The whole thing would be out in October this year. Most of the songs in this new album are ragga. Ragga music is still big and you know, every ragga song doesn't have to be a hit. And I won't agree that hip-hop music is a threat. What I did with Charly Boy's album is to remake some of my songs, like Carolina or Work work, in pidgin and Igbo language. It is to suit the Nigerian market because that's what is prevailing here now. There is a lot of feel and flavour in this new job. I chose Charly Boy for this collaboration cause he is my cousin and we understand each other greatly. Many people find him weird. But you know, when people don't understand you, they say you're weird and that's one of the problems. He's not weird.
