Two Intermodal's from Darwin, two different destinations in Adelaide, with Aurizon moving from the Adelaide Freight Terminal to Gillman Yard this week. The last service to the Adelaide Freight Terminal and the first to Gillman Yard are both captured in motion, with footage at both yards included. Intermodal Services through Central Australia to Alice Springs, Katherine and Darwin have commenced at the Adelaide Freight Terminal in Adelaide since the rail extension to Darwin was completed in 2004. From February 26th, 2025, Services moved to the recently upgraded Gillman Terminal near Port Adelaide, with Aurizon, the operator of the train, recently investing in the terminal for East-West Team Global Express Services and North-South Darwin Services. Footage of the last train and arrival from Darwin into the Adelaide Freight Terminal was captured, with GWA004 & ALF24 working 7DA2 on Monday, February 24th, 2025. Two days later, on Wednesday, February 26th, 2025, the next Intermodal arrival from Darwin, hauled by FQ03 & GWB106, worked to the Gillman Terminal as 2DA2.
