This bottling highlights the first Tormore bottled by SCN for their US online exclusive range. While the whisky spend 6 years in fresh bourbon the final 4 years in the American Oak Sherry cask adds dank and dark notes, giving this Tormore far more depth than expected. Thankfully, despite the rich sherry influence, the distillery's own spirit character is never too far away. Launching on Thursday, March 27th, 2025 at 12pm EST and bottled at 63.2% ABV, this single cask of Tormore yielded just 171 bottles and sells for only $100. You can find bottles here: https://bit.ly/4inCk4P Tasting notes are as follows: Color: Burnished copper Nose: Pleasantly dank at first sniff with black bananas, raisins, brown sugar, toasted pecans, spiced molasses, gunpowder green tea, and ginger snaps. Palate: Rich and unctuous with a pleasingly peppery warmth, toasted walnuts, dark chocolate, German brown bread with raisins, warm berry compote, and stewed prunes. Finish: Good length becoming herbaceous with lingering peppery warmth.
