Patch 4.6 Shows Star Citizen’s Event Problem

Patch 4.6 is bringing another limited-time event to Star Citizen, and instead of getting hyped, it made me stop and ask a harder question: do patch events actually make the game better anymore, or are they just burning players out? Star Citizen’s recent events have been great at spiking player counts, but not so great at respecting player time. The Resource Drive and Fight for Pyro both started strong, then collapsed into grind-heavy endurance tests that pushed a lot of people away instead of pulling them deeper into the game. In this video, I break down what those events got right, what they got very wrong, and why the new Clearing the Air event is landing in a dangerous spot. On paper, it’s solid.
