In the colorful world of Sakura City, Yuta lived happily with his kind and gentle mother and his cute little sister, Mio. Every morning Mom would pack their lunches with love, kiss their foreheads, and say, “Be good at school, my treasures. I love you both so much.” Yuta was the protective big brother, always holding Mio’s hand while walking to Sakura High School. Rina, a cheerful girl in Yuta’s class, was their friend too. One sunny afternoon, everything changed. Mio was running happily in the schoolyard when she accidentally tripped right in front of Rina’s mother’s car. The car stopped just in time, but Mio got small scratches on her knee. Rina’s mother jumped out, very angry. Instead of helping, she shouted, “Your daughter is so careless! What kind of mother lets her child run like that? Your family has no discipline!” The words spread fast. When Yuta’s mom heard about the accident and the harsh blame, her heart broke. She rushed to the school gate to talk calmly. “It was just a child’s mistake,” she said softly. “Mio is only seven. Please, let’s not fight over this.” But Rina’s mother was too furious. She started yelling terrible things about Yuta’s family. Voices grew louder. Soon the two mothers were pushing each other. The small misunderstanding turned into a real fight. Punches flew. In the chaos, Rina’s mother shoved Yuta’s mom hard. She fell backward, her head hitting the sharp edge of the school gate. Everything stopped. Yuta and Mio ran to the gate after hearing the screams. They saw their mother lying on the ground, not moving. Blood on the pavement. “MOM!” Yuta screamed, dropping to his knees and holding her hand. “Wake up, please! We need you!” Mio cried beside him, still wearing the bandage from her own small accident. “Mommy… don’t leave us…” The ambulance came, but it was too late. Yuta’s mom was gone forever — killed in a fight that started from nothing. That night, their house felt empty and cold. No warm dinner smell. No bedtime stories. No soft voice saying “I love you.” Yuta sat on the floor hugging Mio tightly as she sobbed, “Big brother… why did Mommy have to die because of my accident? It was my fault…” “It’s not your fault,” Yuta whispered, tears falling. “It was just a misunderstanding… but now she’s gone.” Days passed. Every morning Yuta made breakfast for Mio, trying to copy how Mom used to do it. But it never tasted the same. At night, Mio would cry for hours, “I want Mommy’s hug…” Yuta would stare at the family photo on the wall, whispering, “We miss you every second, Mom. The house is too quiet without you. Who will scold me when I stay up late? Who will kiss Mio’s forehead when she falls sick?” They visited her grave every weekend, bringing her favorite flowers. Yuta would say, “Mom, we are trying to be strong… but we miss you so much it hurts.” Mio would place a drawing she made — a picture of the three of them holding hands — and cry, “Come back, Mommy. We love you.” Rina came once with her mother to apologize, but the pain was too deep. Yuta and Mio only wanted their mom back — the one who loved them more than anything in the world. Even today, in the busy halls of Sakura School, Yuta holds Mio’s hand a little tighter. They smile through the sadness, but deep inside they both know… some wounds never heal. They will miss their mother every single day, forever. A story of how one small accident and one big misunderstanding stole everything. We miss you, Mom. 😭💔 (End of story)
