China Economy: Domestic consumption market 'on its way to regain vitality'

During a press conference held in Beijing on Monday, Chinese officials described the current consumption market in China as "on its way to regain vitality". There are some figures to support the conclusion: retail sales of consumer goods has gone up 2.7 percent year on year in July; auto sales rose by 9.7 percent. And more support from the central government to further boost consumption is on the way. Meanwhile, compared with other currencies such as the euro, and the US dollar, Chinese yuan remains relatively stable. China remains attractive to foreign investors.
