Curve fitting has been widely used for extracting chemical information from the overlapping features in high-resolution XPS spectra. It is challenging to develop a chemically and physically meaningful approach to curve fitting. In this webinar we discuss the theory behind XPS curve fitting, demonstrate practical approaches for analyzing XPS core regions, and what common mistakes should be avoided when curve fitting.
