In this video learn about the Biomolecules. Biomolecules are the carbon compounds which are present in the living organisms. Biomolecules are of two types Micromolecules and Macromolecules Micromolecules are the molecules which comes in filterate and have molecular weight of 18 -800 dalton So the micromolecules have four types of main elements Amino acids Lipids Carbohydrates Nitrogenous bases or Nucleotides Amino acids are the building blocks of proteins ,amino acids have two functional groups amino and Carboxyl group.Amino acids form Zwitter ion at a pH.There are 20 amino acids in humans,which make proteins. Lipids are of many types fatty acids,glycerol,glycerides,fats and oils and phospholipids Fatty acid when reacts with glycerol makes glycerides. Carbohydrates have simple sugar and complex sugar,carbohydrates have two functional groups aldehydes and ketones.
