The Kruger National Park is home to the biggest percentage of free roaming lions in South Africa, but in the northern areas of the Greater Kruger, the habitat is under pressure from human settlements and there is a surge in rampant poaching. As you will see in this video, a lioness almost loses her life. The situation is dire. The Endangered Wildlife Trust (EWT) works tirelessly in these areas. Their presence means the difference between life and death for many animals, as they fight this war day in and day out.
