Making Lumiere Style Candle Hands

As well as the Beast costume, I was also asked to make a pair of Candlestick hands and a candle head for the Largs Players 'Beauty and the Beast' Pantomime. Sadly I didn't get as much footage as I would have liked, but I'm in the middle of making another set of these so I could make another video when they are done. Once again a big challenge but ultimately I was very happy with how they turned out. A big Thank You to my friend Miles who played the Candlestick and who was more than patient waiting for me finishing these, having very little time to rehearse with them. The rest of the costume was not mine and was hired out. I only made the candles. Music: 'New York Baguette' from YouTube channel 'Dar Golan' Stuff I didn't get in the video: Had an idea to use fans and silk flames but this didn't work. The latex candles are sleeved over a foam/cardboard frame which houses the batteries. There are switches on the handles of each hand, allowing the performer to control all 3 flames. The flames were cast in hot glue and left hollow so the LEDs could sit inside them. I'm using clear resin for the new set. Check out my Facebook page and also find me on Instagram!
