First of all thanks for the feedback from new followers of this project, mainly from r/fpv. The modem upgrade from Huawei E3372 to this new Quectel EP06-E is huge. Comparing these 2 in my basement I found out the new one performs almost 10x better in upload bandwidth and half the latency. Also the latency is more constant with fewer dropouts. And the other thing I ditched the raspberry pi and the pi camera, maily because of the H264 limitation. I started following the OpenIPC project almost from the start and never actualy looked at it how it works. Well that changed after watching one of EgorNiKO_ENG's videos and I found out that it could totally work. Those cameras are cheaper, smaller and more powerful than a raspberry pi. The SSC30KQ has muliple serial ports for ELRS emulation and telemetry, gpio pins, usb ports for the modem and dvr, and bonus IR cut toggle that blew my mind when I found out. Also the adjustable bitrate and framerate is just unimaginable. But there is one disadvantage to using raspberry pi - Its more complicated to set it up. Had to fugure out how to add drivers for usb, modems, and overal its harder to get the connection to work. Luckily its all done so you dont have to struggle. Big thanks to the OpenIPC team for creating the firmwares.
